Reiter Engineering still leading in team championship. Six Lamborghini Gallardo raced at the second event of the ADAC GT Masters at Oschersleben last weekend. In free practice, Christoph Bouchut in the ALL-INKL.COM Gallardo set the best times with high 1.31 minutes laps in both sessions. Second fastest wereChristopher Haase and Gianni Morbidelli from Team Reiter Engineering.

More important than free practive was the Qualifying, which decided the grid for the two on-hour races. In the first, 20 minutes long, session, Christopher Haase was the only driver, who was able to crack the 1.32 minutes barrier and took pole in front of Alexander van der Lof (Team ARGO) and prince Albert von Thurn und Taxis (Reiter Engineering). Achim Winter in the third Gallardo of Reiter reached the tenth starting psotion on the grid.

Gianni Morbidelli, team mate of Haase, copied the success of Haase in second qualifying practice and also reached the best positon in the grid for Sundays race. Only 0,04 seconds behind: Peter Kox (Reiter Engineering). Wolfgang Kaufmann (ARGO) and Patrick Simon (Reiter) were third and fourth fastest.

In race one on late Saturday the Lamborghini drives had to figth against strong opponents from the Ferrari equipe, where Henri Moser (leader of the FIA-GT3 European Championship) and professional driver Philipp Peter were behind the wheel. Alexander van der Lof was the first leader, but Christopher Haase overtook him in lap two. Until the obligatory pitstop, Haase hold the lead. His team mates in car #6, Kox / von Thurn und Taxis, had more luck at the pitstop and werde the new leaders. Peter Kox had a strong fight with Philipp Peter in the second half of the race, but kept the Gallardo with a series of very fast lap times in front of the Ferrari 430 and won the first race of the ADAC GT Masters in Oschersleben.

Kaufmann / van der Lof completed the success of Lamborghini with their third place. Achim Winter / Patrick Simon came home in seventh place overall.

Also in second race the Lamborghini Gallardo were luck. Gianni Morbidelli had the best start of all drivers hold the leading positions for 19 laps. Peter Kox was second behind Morbidelli. Patrick Simon worked his way through the field up to third position, so all three Reiter cars were in front.

After the pit stops the first two cars could hold their positions. Right before the end of the race, Albert von Thurn und Taxis lost one place and finished third. Christopher Haase could resist Henri Moser in the Ferrari and took his second win of the season. Achim Winter / Patrick Simon took siixth place in the end.

In the drives championship Haase / Morbidelli are leading with 29 points in front of Kaufmann / van der Lof (26) and Kox / Thurn und Taxis (18). Reiter Engineering now has 38 points in the team championship, ARGO Racing is second with 27.
