ADAC GT Masters : To pole positions and both race victories
Together with the US formula series ChampCar the ADAC GT Masters absolved their seventh and eighth championship race at Zolder. Again the Lamborghini Gallardo showed their potential in Belgium. The Italian bulls secured not only the two pole positions but also both race victories.
Already the free practice on Friday indicated this trend for the Gallardo drivers. Jan Lammers (Reiter Engineering) and Christophe Bouchut (ALL-INKL.COM Racing) set the best lap times in the two 60 minutes sessions.
On Saturday morning heavy fog showed up above the race track, but right before the first qualifying session the ADAC GT Masters cars could fight for the best starting positions. Christopher Haase decided this battle in the first 25 minutes for the #7 Reiter Lamborghini and took pole for race one and the third pole in his young career overall. In second qualifying Peter Kox and Christophe Bouchut were the main contenders for the best lap time. With just seven thousands of a second Kox kept the lead in front of Bouchut. Altogether six Lamborghini Gallardo kept the first six places in this session.
Christopher Haase dominated the first half of the first race with his #7 Lamborghini Gallardo. From the beginning, the 19-year old German made the pace in spite of a heavy influenza an controlled the field until the obligatory pit stops. Jos Menten, co driver of Haase for this event because of other contractual commitments of Gianni Morbidelli, linked seamless to the first half and secured another victory in the ADAC GT Masters.
Behind them, a big fight between the Lamborghini teams Albert von Thurn und Taxis / Peter Kox and Alexander van der Lof / Wolfgang Kaufmann entertained the crowd on the tribunes. Kox / van der Lof finished the seventh race after sixty minutes on second place, Kaufmann / van der Lof saw the chequered flag as third in the ARGO Gallardo.
Jan Lammers and Marius Ritskes were the best guest team on sixth place overall, also in a Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo. Andreas Teichmann and Michael Raja (Waiblinger Motorsport Club) finished one place behind, Christophe Bouchut / René Muennich finished in ninth position. Because of two guest starters in front of them, they collected points for seventh in their ALL-INKL.COM Gallardo. Stefano Gabellini and Achim Winter had to retire early with braking problems.

Race 2 began with the leadership of Peter Kox in front of Jos Menten and Jan Lammers. Christophe Bouchut, started from second position, had to finish after an accident in the first corner with Peter Kox. The Dutch driver was penalized later with a drive-through penalty by race control. This dropped the #6 Gallardo back to third place behind Menten and Kaufmann.
Jos Menten repeated the fabulous performance of Saturdays race and reached a solid leadership, which allowed Christopher Haase a return to the track at first position. Wolfgang Kaufmann / Alexander van der Lof defended their second position until the chequered flag and finished their racing weekend with tow podium positions. With third after 60 minutes Peter Kox / Albert von Thurn und Taxis also had another good finish in Zolder.
Gabellini / Winter and Lammers / Ritskes had to retire early with technical problems. Teichmann / Raja reached ninth position overall.

Reiter Engineering is now leading the point tables o the team championship in front of ARG Racing. The team Waiblinger Motorsport Club is on fourth position, ALL-INKL.COM Racing is tenth.
