International GT Open: The usual suspects

Monza was chosen as venue for the seventh and penultimate round of the International GT Open season. Piccini / Garofano collected a brace of fourth place finishes in #55 MIK Corse Gallardo. Giacomo Piccini was able to strengthen his seventh position in the GTS class standings as a result. In both the ProAm and also the GT Open race Stiefel / Ruh (RS Line Lamborghini Gallardo) finished fifth directly behind their Lamborghini counterparts from MIK Corse.

ADAC GT Masters: team title for flatex reiter

The 2008 season’s final event was held at Sachsenring, where both Team and Drivers’ Championships were still up for grabs. Before the last two 60-minute races Team flatex reiter still had chances of taking the Team Championship crown, Christopher Haase / Albert von Thurn und Taxis in #1 Lamborghini Gallardo the Drivers’ Championship.

Brazilian GT3: Title within grasp

On Saturday Ingo Hoffmann and Paulo Bonifacio scored valuable points in the fight for South America’s only GT3 championship. After five events in Curitiba, Sáo Paulo, Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro Hoffmann / Bonifacio also hold third place in the drivers’ championship standings. With three races still to run and 60 points to be awarded the Gallardo drivers are still on course to take the title. Hoffmann / Bonifacio have claimed five podium finishes and one victory.
