The REITER Murciélago R-GT is based on the legendary Lamborghini Murciélago model. The car was unveiled to the world's adoring public at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in 2003. The car is available in two versions complying with both the FIA and LMS regulations. For this purpose, the machine was changed from four-wheel to rear-wheel drive, a unique suspension geometry was developed, equipped with a race gearbox (Holinger), optimized aerodynamically and fitted with a comprehensive telemetry and data-recording system.
The REITER Murciélago R-GT is powered by a purpose built 12-cylinder engine. And, by no means least, the total weight is only about 1,100 kg thanks to the full-carbon outer skin.
REITER Engineering has sold more than ten of these cars worldwide to date. The REITER Murciélago R-GT is, like all other racing Lamborghinis, at home on race tracks worldwide. Successful participation in legendary endurance races such as the traditional 24 Hours of Le Mans more than prove its competitiveness against the toughest opponents at international level. REITER Engineering recently demonstrated this by winning the 1,000 km race in Barcelona and taking second place in the 1,000 kilometers at Spa.
