ITALIAN GT: GALLARDO PODIUM FINISH AT THE FINAL ROUND
Reiter Engineering customer Imperiale Racing was a title contender in Italian GT Championship until the end of the 2015 season. To maximize the chance for winning the driver championship, Imperiale split their successful duo Mirko Bortolotti / Alberto Viberti. Bortolotti stayed in the #63 Gallardo FL2 GT3 and with Adrian Zaugg he got a new co driver at his side. Viberti changed into the cockpit of the #54 Gallardo and partnered with Giovanni Venturini.
At first, this tactic seemed to be the planned successful way. Bortolotti / Zaugg had a good first run on Saturday and finished their race on third position with a podium. The points for this position brought Bortolotti into the lead in the driver ranking, even it was a close one with just one point ahead of the second. But an early retirement after just 11 laps on Sunday spoiled all hopes about winning the championship. In the end Bortolotti finished the season in 3rd place.
Alberto Viberti raced to 10th place on Saturday and missed the podium on Sunday close with 4th position. A third Imperiale Racing Gallardo FL2 GT3 finished race 2 on fifth position with Andrea Palma and Giacomo Barri.

The qualifying race at Saturday started successful. Catsburg gained one position at the start and brought the Gallardo in for the mandatory pit stop in exactly the same position. But a problem changing the right rear wheel cost more than a second. So Albert von Thurn und Taxis, who had entered the Cockpit of the Reiter Engineering car, came back into the race in 12th place. The gap between the cars was too big to change anything, so he finished the race also in 12th.Read more...

102COMPETITION GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES MISANO: ZAWOTEC.COM IS VICE CHAMPION
The final race weekend of the 102Competition European GT4 Series in Misano was kind of “heavy” for Peter Ebner and Sascha Halek. The Team ZaWotec KTM X-Bow GT4 again got some extra weight due to the Balance of Performance system. Despite this Handicap, Ebner / Halek could catch a reasonable result with 5th position in race 1 of the weekend. But they hoped for more, because they still were fighting for good season positions in team and driver standings.
Race 2 on Sunday took place in poor conditions, heavy rain all the time. No problem for Peter Ebner and Sascha Halek. They kept the #15 KTM X-Bow GT4 safe on the wet track and fought hard for positions. Halek caught the PRO division leading car in the very last lap and took the third win of the 2015 season for the ZaWotec.com duo. For the Austrian based team this meant the vice championship in the team standings, Ebner / Halek were third in the drivers championship.
In AM class for gentlemen drivers, Heinz Halek had his debut in the #16 ZaWotec.com KTM X-Bow. The Austrian finished both 102Competition GT4 European Series races with 3rd position on the podium.
