From the beginning of the session Albert von Thurn und Taxis stayed in the front of the GT3 field with his #24 Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+. With his best lap in 2.07,276 minutes he secured the pole position for race 1.
“I had the luck of a free lap as the tyres had their peak”, said Albert von Thurn und Taxis. “The pole position is perfect for today´s race, because here it is not easy to overtake”.
Nikolaus Mayr-Melnhof drove the second part oft he Qualifying, which was important for the grid of Sundays race. The Austrian race drivers best lap of 2.07,223 minutes was enough for a good fith place in the session.
