Reiter Engineering experienced something completely different with a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 during the 3-City Rally. The 2007 ADAC GT Master car of Peter Kox / Albert von Thurn und Taxis was modified within the space of just one week for the rally event.
Giacomo Piccini and Matteo Grassotto sealed the Italian GT3 Championship after notched up wins number 7 and 8. The duo claimed first place in eight of the fourteen point scoring rounds in their MIK Corse Lamborghini Gallardo GT3. The season finale at Vallelunga was no exception to the rule.
End of season atmosphere at Magny Cours where the 11th and 12th races of the French GT Championship were scheduled. For the First Racing crew of David Tuchbant / Antonie Leclerc in the #54 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 extreme tension was order of the day. The two French drivers were among the top favourites to take the GT3 Championship. Acting as wing men were team mates Briche / Dubreuil and three other Gallardos from Ruffier Racing with Ruffier / Peyroles, Cabanne / Helary and Miloe / Miloe at the wheel.
International GT Open: The usual suspects
Monza was chosen as venue for the seventh and penultimate round of the International GT Open season. Piccini / Garofano collected a brace of fourth place finishes in #55 MIK Corse Gallardo. Giacomo Piccini was able to strengthen his seventh position in the GTS class standings as a result. In both the ProAm and also the GT Open race Stiefel / Ruh (RS Line Lamborghini Gallardo) finished fifth directly behind their Lamborghini counterparts from MIK Corse.

The 2008 season’s final event was held at Sachsenring, where both Team and Drivers’ Championships were still up for grabs. Before the last two 60-minute races Team flatex reiter still had chances of taking the Team Championship crown, Christopher Haase / Albert von Thurn und Taxis in #1 Lamborghini Gallardo the Drivers’ Championship.
