KTM Sportcar GmbH, Austria’s only OEM and manufacturer of the KTM X-BOW super
sportscar is launching an exclusive cooperation with Valvoline, one of the world’s leading
lubricant manufacturers, just in time for the start of the 2019 Racing Season.
Valvoline is to be the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for all of the super sportscars that are made
by hand in Graz. Valvoline will also be the company's development partner in motorsport
and sponsoring partner at all of the Austrian manufacturer's motor racing activities.
The 2019 motorsport season is due to begin in just a few weeks, so now is the ideal time for
KTM Sportcar GmbH to announce the new partnership. Valvoline will be the exclusive OEM
for all KTM X-BOW models, and the recommended lubricant partner for the car in the 40
countries that embrace the company’s dealer- and service partner network. The
development cooperation will also include oil analysis, and further development linked to all
the racing activities of the KTM X-BOW GT4, under the banners of Reiter Engineering, and
KTM Sportcar GmbH Managing Director Michael Wölfling is delighted with the new
partnership: “A partnership with Valvoline, one of the world's premium lubricant brands, is,
without doubt, a big, and very important step for a small series manufacturer like KTM
Sportcar GmbH. We are especially pleased because this is not just a sponsorship contract,
it is also about close cooperation at all levels, and especially in technical terms. And both
parties will certainly benefit enormously from this."
“Our partnership with KTM Sportcar GmbH marks a new and exciting era for our brand in
Europe,“ comments Diego Brodoni, Vice President Valvoline Europa. "Racing cars and
super sportscars place incredibly high demands on the lubricants they use. When an
exclusive manufacturer like KTM, which constructs and sells both street-legal vehicles and
high-performance racing cars, puts its trust in Valvoline as an exclusive original equipment
manufacturer, it reflects our status as one of the world's most renowned brands for highquality lubricants.
And he adds: “The fact that we will support KTM development partner Reiter Engineering,
and the factory supported team True Racing with the analysis of lubricants, and in further
development during their racing activities, are naturally all highlights of our future
cooperation. Valvoline can look back on a fantastic history in motorsports, and it is exciting
that we'll be seeing our brand on some of the most famous European circuits in 2019!"
Among others, we'll see the partnership at the GT4 European Series, in the ADAC GT4
Germany, the Creventic 24 H Series, and at KTM’s own spec series, the X-BOW BATTLE.
