About our Team

Reiter Engineering Esports, a small SimRacing team from Reiter Engineering, which currently consists of 15 drivers. Currently, the team focuses on the PC simulations "iRacing" and "Assetto Corsa Competizione".

The team was originally founded in 2019 by Florian Apazeller under the name "Mission Simracing" and renamed "Reiter Engineering Esports" at the beginning of 2020 in collaboration with Maxi Prodöhl and Reiter Engineering. At that time, the simulation iRacing was still the focus of the team.

When the 12H Wurst Wars race of the VCL in Bathurst was coming up in August 2020, the team got a taste for the simulation "Assetto Corsa Competizione". The team then went into the race with two Porsche 911 II GT3 R cars, with which they were then able to win significantly more drivers. From then on, ACC became an integral part of the team's sim lineup.

At the beginning of 2021, the team's iRacing division headed to Daytona for the virtual 24-hour race, in which the team competed with a BMW M8 GTE and a Ferrari 488 GTE. At the end of the race, the BMW team with drivers Danniel Kühn, Jan Sahli, Sascha Neeb and Erik Hartmann was in first position, while the Ferrari secured the third place on the podium with a thrilling battle in the final laps.

In May 2021 the Sim Grid Endurance Cup started, with an Aston Martin on the grid. At the rainy season opener at the Hungaroring a 4th place could be occupied. 14 days later a similarly good result should be achieved in Monza. There the 8th place was occupied. Currently the team is in 6th place overall, with ambitions to improve.

"We are happy to be a part of Reiter Engineering and look forward to more years of SimRacing, fun and above all good cooperation", says team boss and founder Florian Apazeller about the cooperation.
